Summary

This study analyzed the relationship between sexism and vote choice in the 19th presidential election using data from the KINU 2019 Unification Survey. The results showed that those with stronger hostile sexism were more likely to choose Hong Jun-pyo, while benevolent sexism was positively associated with choosing Moon Jae-in. Voters who chose Moon Jae-in were more likely to have a benevolent sexist perspective rather than high gender equality consciousness or strong hostile sexism.
