Summary

This study analyzed the growth contribution factors of the marine and fisheries industry using input-output tables from 1995 to 2016. The results showed that increased export demand led the growth of the marine and fisheries industry, with domestic final demand and technological change also playing important roles. However, import substitution had a negative impact on growth, and export demand or domestic final demand were key growth factors depending on the industry.
