Summary

This study categorized and analyzed hedging types in instruction texts in spoken Korean to examine hedging strategies in Korean education. The analysis revealed that active FTA consideration under listener-oriented hedging was prominent, and reliability-reinforcing hedging was not found due to the inherent reliability of instruction texts. Various hedging types and expressions were analyzed, with estimation, prediction, and forecast-related hedges being the most frequent.
