This study explores a narrative education plan for the elderly generation to overcome physical and mental crises and improve their quality of life. Based on Paul Ricœur's theory of narrative identity, the study suggests directions for narrative education for the elderly through analysis of the National Institute of Korean Language's narrative education program, emphasizing that narrative education can contribute to the re-establishment of identity and enhancement of self-esteem in old age. Future narrative education for the elderly should develop in a direction that encompasses diverse groups and generations.
