Summary

This study analyzed the operation of competence-based education in Bologna Process member countries to derive implications for higher vocational education in Korea. Through cases of the UK and Ireland, the study analyzed practical methods in terms of curriculum development, operation, and quality management, emphasizing the importance of setting learning outcomes and assessment. The results suggest the need to foster lifelong learning ability, design learner-centered classes, restore the educational function of assessment, and establish logical connectivity in curriculum improvement.
