Summary

This study investigates the relationship between the type of largest shareholder change and credit rating and stock yield. CEO turnover, an increase in the shareholding ratio, third-party allocation, and changes to a corporate shareholder showed a significant negative relationship with credit rating, while an increase in shareholding ratio and third-party allocation also showed a negative relationship with stock yield. These results suggest that creditors and investors recognize the risks of largest shareholder changes that could impair business stability, categorized by type.
