This paper proposes an ‘imitation learning method’ as an educational approach to enhance the preaching skills of theology students and pastors. This involves listening to and copying the sermons of skilled field pastors to internalize their techniques, thereby improving the effectiveness of preaching as a language-based communication. Based on Aristotle's *Rhetoric* and *Poetics*, the study explores the feasibility of introducing imitation learning into homiletics through an analysis of imitation learning cases in the arts (Picasso, Kim Jeong-hee, and Ahn Do-hyun).
