Summary

This study examines children's rights in South Korean moral education textbooks from 1973 to 2021. The results show a shift in the perspective on children and adolescents from a paternalistic to a rights-based approach, with a focus on survival and protection rights while development and participation rights are less discussed. Furthermore, human rights issues in developing countries are more frequently addressed than domestic human rights issues.
