Summary

This study aimed to suggest an improved version of the Proof-of-Nonce (PoN) algorithm, a distributed consensus algorithm used for blockchain systems. By utilizing response surface methodology for experimental design and modifying the consensus procedure by diminishing the content of the exchanged message, the performance of the PoN algorithm was improved. New regression models were established for consensus time and Transactions per second (TPS), and a method for optimizing control variables to achieve performance targets was proposed.
