Summary

This study investigated the lead (Pb) removal efficiency and mechanism of Cornus controversa (CC) and Quercus mongolica (QM) wood biomass waste in aqueous solution. Adsorption isotherm and kinetic experiments showed that both CC and QM were effective in adsorbing lead, with QM exhibiting higher adsorption capacity. Thermodynamic analysis revealed that lead adsorption was a spontaneous endothermic reaction.
