Summary

This study analyzed the types, frequency, and accuracy of combined particles in the spoken data of intermediate Korean language learners and compared them with beginner learners to identify changes according to learning period. The results showed that the error rate of combined particles was higher in intermediate learners than in beginners, and errors in using case-markers and particles as precedents were frequent. The study suggests comprehensive education on particles within the curriculum to prevent learner errors from becoming fossilized.
