Summary

This study analyzed the expression of limited edition sneakers of sports brands that have emerged in the fashion market. The analysis revealed that the expression of limited edition sneakers was categorized as ‘innovative technology’ (8.15%) in terms of functional value, ‘symbolism of storytelling’ (71.91%) in terms of emotional value, and ‘diversity and artistry’ (19.95%) in terms of aesthetic sensibility. This demonstrates that sneakers have formed fandom and become a cultural status beyond the functional value of sports brands.
