Summary

This study investigated the effectiveness of Project-Based Learning (PBL) in cultural education for pre-service English teachers and examined learner perspectives. The results showed that PBL positively impacted intercultural understanding, English proficiency, and critical thinking skills development, but task burden was a drawback. Based on these findings, it suggests simplifying tasks and providing modeling to enhance the effectiveness of PBL.
