Summary

This study analyzes the factors affecting public trust in government during the COVID-19 crisis, investigating how the structure and explanatory power of these factors change depending on the trust target and aggregation method. The analysis reveals that, in addition to risk factors, government factors and non-government trust factors significantly influence government trust, with expert trust and government communication impacting all trust targets. Furthermore, the determinant structure varies depending on the trust target, and trust in experts demonstrates particularly high explanatory power.
