Summary
This study examined the prevalence and correlates of depression, anxiety, and suicidal behavior in Chinese multicultural adolescents compared to Korean monocultural adolescents. The findings revealed that Chinese multicultural adolescents were at a higher risk for depression, suicidal behavior, and comorbidity, while associations between problem behaviors and mental health were similar in both groups. Notably, smartphone overuse and cigarette smoking had a greater impact on mental health among Chinese multicultural adolescents.
