Summary

This study confirmed that non-face-to-face classes using an online forum are effective in improving students' self-directed learning, communication, and problem-solving abilities, and analyzed student perceptions to suggest improvement measures. As a result of pre- and post-tests and open-ended surveys conducted on 261 students at S University, all three abilities were significantly improved, and implications for class improvement were derived through the CIPP evaluation model.
