Summary

This study investigates the impact of human social presence on perceived interaction and service quality expectation in a service robot environment, and analyzes the moderating effect of the service environment. A scenario-based experiment with hotel guests revealed that perceived interaction with check-in robots is more affected by human social presence. Furthermore, the relationship between human social presence and service quality expectation was found to be moderated by the service environment.
