This study analyzed personal, familial, school, and community factors influencing high school dropout and potential school dropout using data from the Korea Children and Youth Panel Study. The results indicated that students with delinquent behaviors, lower parental supervision, and a higher tendency for potential school dropout in middle school were at a higher risk of dropping out, while students attending special-purpose high schools showed a lower tendency.
