Summary

This study conducted a meta-analysis to examine the effect of bibliotherapy program variables on bibliotherapy outcomes through a review of literature published over the last decade. The results showed that bibliotherapy was most effective for adults, addressing anxiety and depression, with 11-12 sessions, session durations over 90 minutes, combined use of books and video media, and active inclusion of additional activities.
