This study explored the nature and meaning of experiences of mothers of school-age children from multicultural families who underwent individual art therapy. In-depth interview analysis revealed that mothers experienced communication for change while addressing their children's psychological and peer problems through art therapy, progressing through four stages from 'finding a way in expectations' to 'journey for a better life'.
