This study analyzed the relationship between discretionary costs and cost stickiness in professional management companies based on agency theory. The results showed that companies with professional managers exhibited higher cost stickiness and discretionary cost ratios, suggesting the persistence of agency problems due to information asymmetry. The study emphasizes the need to improve management control systems and establish institutional incentives to control the private interests of professional managers.
