This study evaluated the sustainability of Korean sewerage policy using indicators of economic efficiency, environmental conservation, and social equity. The results showed that while economic aspects are favorable, the wastewater reuse rate is low and a significant gap exists in sewerage coverage between urban and rural areas, necessitating improved social equity. Therefore, policy improvements considering environmental protection and social equity, along with cost recovery through sewerage charges, are crucial.
