Summary

This study investigated the effect of disability understanding education activities using disability-related picture books on the perceptions and attitudes of preschool children without disabilities toward those with disabilities. The results showed that the disability understanding education activities had a significant effect on changes in the perceptions and attitudes of preschool children without disabilities toward those with disabilities. These findings suggest the need for systematic and continuous disability understanding education to foster positive perceptions and attitudes about disabilities among preschool children without disabilities.
