Summary
This study investigated the relationship between teacher education curricula and the development of global education competencies in pre-service teachers. Survey results indicated that pre-service teachers perceived liberal arts courses as most helpful and major courses as least helpful, with variations in curriculum effectiveness across teacher training institutions. The study provides suggestions for improving teacher education programs to foster pre-service teachers’ global education competencies.
