Summary

This study explored students' perceptions of their game experiences and literacy patterns through a digital game production class for elementary school students. The results showed that students had difficulty articulating their rich game experiences and that these experiences rarely extended to peripheral literacy activities. However, students recognized games as a space for expressing subjectivity and demonstrated critical awareness of game production tools.
