This study compares the editorial perspectives of *Mencius Collected Commentaries with Comprehensive Explanations* and *Comprehensive Record of Song, Yuan, Ming and Neo-Confucianism*, focusing on the similar scope of annotators, and examines the historical significance of the former. *Mencius Collected Commentaries with Comprehensive Explanations* was influenced by Zhu Xi’s learning, and Joseon Neo-Confucianism deepened through readjustment to the editorial perspective of the *Mencius Collected Commentaries* via the *Comprehensive Record*.
