Summary

This study aimed to identify types of recovered alcoholics based on factors influencing recovery using Q methodology. The analysis revealed three types: a ‘positive-centered recovery type’ emphasizing self-affirmation, a ‘temperance-centered recovery type’ focused on daily life control, and an ‘acceptance-centered type’ pursuing spirituality. These findings provide valuable insights for understanding recovered alcoholics and developing tailored interventions to prevent relapse.
