This study analyzes the direction and current status of Japanese Chinese character education research after 2010. It examines the characteristics of high school Chinese character education, trends in university entrance exams, and research results published in the academic journal '新しい漢字漢文教育' following the enactment of the New Common-use Chinese characters and the revision of learning guidance guidelines. Considering the diversity of the East Asian Chinese literature world, it seeks to find ways to improve Korean Chinese character education through Japanese cases.
