This study examines recent countermeasures against sex offenses targeting children and youth, focusing on the revised Act on the Protection of Sexuality of Children and Youth, which came into effect on September 24, 2021. The revised act includes four key changes: strengthened punishment for solicitation and luring for sexual exploitation, establishment of punishment regulations for conversations causing sexual desire, exclusion of the statute of limitations for producing/importing/exporting sexual exploitation materials, and allowing covert investigations for digital sex offenses.
