Summary

This study experimentally investigated appropriate sentence-closing endings for emotional utterances in artificial intelligence conversational agents. The results showed that ‘hae-chae’ and ‘haeyo-chae’ are effective for joy, ‘haeyo-chae’ for sadness, ‘hae-chae’ for anger, and ‘hae-chae’ and ‘haeyo-chae’ for surprise. This knowledge can be utilized in the development of conversational agent designs.
