Summary

This study aimed to identify the factors influencing the absence of adult employees based on demographic and health-related characteristics using data from the National Health and Nutrition Survey. The results showed that factors such as gender, age, perceived health status, physical discomfort in the last 2 weeks, injury in the last year, and subjective stress perception level were statistically significantly related to absenteeism. These findings suggest the need to reduce the burden of housework for female workers, provide age-appropriate healthcare services, and offer continuous health care including stress management strategies.
