Summary

This study analyzes Reading Joseoneo 1 and 2 (2015) from Kim Il Sung University, Korean language textbooks for international students in North Korea, to understand recent Korean-as-foreign-language textbooks in North Korea. Focusing on ‘word combination,’ the study analyzes the word combination list and characteristics presented in the textbook practice and considers the educational significance of these word combinations for foreign language learners.
