Summary

This study was conducted to identify the communication education needs of psychiatric and emergency room nurses, and the importance-performance analysis and Borich needs assessment revealed that goal setting and the ability to actively deliver one's thoughts using body language and intonation showed the highest educational needs. The findings of this study can be used as basic data for developing a customized communication education program for nurses in psychiatric and emergency rooms.
