Summary
This study qualitatively explored university students’ experiences of participating in online and face-to-face classes during the COVID-19 pandemic. The results indicated that online classes were associated with limited interaction and decreased concentration, while face-to-face classes offered positive learning experiences through diverse sensory engagement and a community learning atmosphere. Students also preferred student-centered classes with feedback and hybrid classes, recognizing the importance of learners’ academic attitude over class format.
