This study is a basic research to develop reading and writing textbooks for Korean learners at the intermediate and beginner levels at King Sejong Institutes, aiming to derive the development directions of function-separated textbooks through curriculum and operation status analysis, existing textbook analysis, and needs analysis. Utilizing methods such as literature analysis, surveys, and interviews, the study proposed basic directions for textbook development and reviewed validity by producing a sample unit.
