Summary

This study systematically reviewed 145 domestic studies on elementary school programming education based on education targets, core competencies, teaching and learning methods, and tools. The results suggest the need for expanded research on lower grades and educationally disadvantaged groups to ensure educational opportunities and prevent competency gaps, as well as research on improving affective competencies considering the developmental characteristics of elementary school students and comparing the effects of programming tools. Analysis of the impact of group organization on learning is also required.
