Summary
This study explored how "young children" are represented in the National Kindergarten Curriculum through keyword network analysis. The analysis revealed high frequencies of keywords such as ‘education’, ‘life’, and ‘development’, and high co-occurrence frequencies of ‘young child-development’, ‘young child-life’, and ‘teacher-young child’. The study critically discusses the developmentalist perspective in the National Kindergarten Curriculum and proposes a refiguration of "young child" into a "post-human child."
