Summary

This study explored the difficulties and coping behaviors of elementary school homeroom teachers regarding life guidance during the COVID-19 pandemic, conducting in-depth interviews with five teachers in Daegu. The results identified seven categories of difficulties: challenges in building relationships with students/parents, delayed start of life guidance, reduced teacher influence, a dilemma between quarantine policies and life guidance, exhausting life guidance, decreased student social skills, and an increase in problems for teachers to solve.
