This study analyzes the background of how ecological socialist discourses advocating for degrowth and de-capitalism in Korean society came to emphasize a ‘just ecological transformation.’ For a ‘just ecological transformation’ to become a realistic strategy, job transition policies are crucial, requiring ecological politics that pursue dialogue and compromise between the state, businesses, workers, and civil society through institutional politics. It is important to seek realistic strategies for job and income security for the working class through the Red-Green Alliance.
