Summary

This study investigated the perception of sign language and spoken language among hard-of-hearing students in an inclusive education setting. The results indicated that parental hearing status and sign language ability influenced students’ sign language perception, while parental sign language ability affected their spoken language perception. Furthermore, choosing between sign language or spoken language tended to lead to a negative perception of the other.
