Summary

This study aims to generate a future education pedagogy for developing teachers’ transformative capabilities (reconciling tensions and dilemmas, creating new value, and taking responsibility) from the perspective of new materialism. Through a post-qualitative study utilizing new materialism concepts from Latour, Haraway, and others, the process of network formation between new materialism and transformative capabilities was viewed as a process of translation and research. The results revealed that a new-materialism-informed early childhood curriculum focuses on “paying attention to trouble,” “being fascinated by the power of actants,” and “making it together-ism.”
