Summary

This study retrospectively analyzed the effect of Uvulopalatopharyngoplasty (UPPP) on positional dependency in patients with obstructive sleep apnea. While the apnea-hypopnea index in the lateral position significantly decreased after surgery in non-positional dependent patients, the overall success rate was low, and the success rate in the lateral position was higher in non-positional dependent patients.
