This study examines the necessity of updating the survey population for traditional market research to accurately grasp the current status and provide effective support. Analysis of population change patterns revealed significant variability in market and store numbers, with over 6% of stores operating for less than a year, contradicting existing perceptions. Based on these findings, the study proposes policy recommendations including population updates at least every four years, establishing a management system utilizing Citizen Generated Data, and implementing a circulation survey.
