Summary

This study addressed the charge imbalance issue in indium phosphide quantum dot light-emitting diodes (QLEDs) by introducing self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) between the electron transport layer and quantum dots. By using 4-methoxybenzoic acid (MBA) and 4-cyanobenzoic acid (CBA) SAMs, electron excess was confirmed, and SAMs improved surface morphology and passivated surface defects on the ZnO electron transport layer, mitigating exciton quenching.
