Pro-Resolving Effect of Ginsenosides as an Anti-Inflammatory Mechanism of Panax ginseng

Summary

Ginsenosides, the main active constituents of Panax ginseng, are used for the treatment of inflammatory diseases and exhibit anti-inflammatory effects by suppressing the expression of inflammatory substances such as TNF-alpha, IL-1 beta, IL-6, iNOS, and COX-2. Recent studies have shown that ginsenosides induce M2 macrophage differentiation, suppressing inflammation progression and promoting inflammation resolution through a novel mechanism.
