Summary

This study conducted a meta-analysis to estimate the pooled proportion of COVID-19 vaccine booster dose uptake and intention among general populations and healthcare workers. The pooled proportion of booster dose acceptance was 81%, with an actual uptake of 31% and an intention of 79%. Acceptance rates varied by region, and chronic disease status and trust in vaccine effectiveness were associated with acceptance.
