Summary

This study analyzed the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the division of roles, housework, and childcare time among dual-income couples in Japan. The results showed an increase in the husband's role after the pandemic, and a decrease in men's working and commuting hours influenced the increase in role division. Furthermore, housework and childcare time were closely related to the working and commuting hours of both men and women.
