This study conducted a systematic narrative review to examine the social determinants of health and health inequities related to the occurrence, screening, treatment, and outcomes of atrial fibrillation. The findings indicate that lower socioeconomic status is associated with reduced access to AF screening and treatment, leading to poorer outcomes such as healthcare utilization, bleeding, heart failure, stroke, and dementia.
