Summary

This study examined whether sexual motive predicts sexual behavior in college students by validating the construct validity and reliability of a sexual motive scale and conducting correlation and regression analyses on 172 college students. The results showed that sexual motive predicts sexual behavior, and the sexual motive scale, consisting of three sub-factors – intimacy, checking attraction, and catching the partner – is a suitable tool for college students. Additionally, dating experience and grade were also found to be factors influencing sexual behavior.
