Summary

This study examined the impact of emotional support from fellow teachers and empathy skills on the professional development of infant and early childhood teachers to provide basic data for developing reeducation and professional improvement programs. A survey of 290 childcare center teachers in Busan showed that emotional support from fellow teachers and professional development were high, but empathy skills were somewhat low, and there were differences in professional development based on age, marital status, and type of workplace.
